Bynas accepted Jesus in 1982 and was baptized in 1987. He then served for 7 years as Sunday School Teacher and Youth Leader for 3 years. In 1992, Bynas received training in discipleship and personal evangelism. In 1993, he went to YWAM’s Discipleship Training School. In 1996-1997 he had the opportunity to go to Brazil to do a course in Rescue and Restoration and spent one year and five months working with the street children. He then traveled to Dakar, Senegal and worked with he street children there for seven months. He then took a course in ministry through theater in Dakar which included 2 months of evangelism with YWAM.
Bynas represented Guinea Bissau in a trans-cultural team to challenge missionaries to come to West Africa. He has been involved with King’s Kids since 1993, and has been a King’s Kids leader since l998. He became Director of the YWAM Base in Gabu, Guinea Bissau in December, 2000 and served until July 2005 when he became President of YWAM, Guinea Bissau. He is a professional welder and cinematographer, along with extensive training in electronics. He is a husband and father of two girls.
His vision is to reach and disciple the next generation for Jesus, to increase the ministry of King’s Kids, and to help establish a Christian radio station in Guinea Bissau.
